He came to watch the football, and in the spirit of Swiss neutrality he watched the Welsh game in Wales at the Dolphin Inn and the English game in England at the Cross Keys.

He was hosted on the Welsh side by MP Steve Witherden and Carreghofa Council Chair Ian Parry.

On the English side he was hosted by MP Helen Morgan.

Ambassador Leitner thanked everyone in the village for the warm reception he received.”
