Llanymynech is one of the most unique villages in the United Kingdom for the main road running through the village serves as the border. Those of us on the Welsh side are in Carreghofa, those on the other side are in England.

This has caused confusion in the past, most recently during the Covid-19 Pandemic. When England was in lockdown and Wales was not, our pubs in Carreghofa could be open. And when Wales was in lockdown and England was not, Englands pubs could be open and ours could not.

That means if you could sometimes see from your house, pub goers revelling in the delights of renewed freedom from lockdown, having pints outside etc, while you watched from your living room windows under the strict conditions designed to keep us safe.
