In advance of the celebrations for VE Day on Thursday 8th 2025 Carreghofa Community Council placed a commemorative wreath at the War Memorial in remembrance of all those who fought and gave their lives for their country. The wording reads:

"With deepest respect and lasting gratitude to those who gave their lives for our freedom"
